Projects
These projects represent different facets of Noah’s musical world, from jazz and chamber music to bluegrass, all rooted in original work and long-term collaboration. Noah was (co-)creator of each of these projects.
Woodcraft - founded in 2017 - is one of the most exciting string ensembles from the Netherlands. This boundary-breaking ensemble works with jazz, groove, improvisation, and the human voice. Born from a long-standing friendship, the group gives the violin, viola and cello a renewed voice in today’s musical landscape. Through curiosity and openness to various genres and techniques, they seek to reinvent their instruments to create a fresh and distinctive sound.

Moon Garden is a trio consisting of Joshua (cello), Noah Hassler-Forest (violin) and Ella Zirina (electric guitar). Together they write and arrange their music, blending their individual musical visions into one cohesive sound and creating adventurous, dynamic and colourful compositions.
Shortly after they started playing together, the trio won the First Prize in the Young Makers Division of the Dutch Violin Competition.
